India scored 272, but 5 wickets for Binny and 3 for Madan Lal ensured England ended up with 102 runs in their first innings. Vengsarkar's century in the second innings helped India put 237. The lethal bowling attack ended the Englishmen's second innings for just 128, orchestrating a 279-run win.
Kiwis could not cope up with India's bowling at Hamilton
This match was the third one during India's 1968 tour of New Zealand. Prasanna grabbed 5 wickets to end the Kiwis 1st innings for 186 runs. Nadkarni, then, dismantled the second innings by picking up 6 wickets. India had a measly target of 59 runs to chase in their second innings, which they did with ease. They won the match by 8 wickets.
India repeated their glorious performance in 2009
In 2009, India managed to win by 10 wickets against New Zealand at Hamilton, reminding fans of the 1968 win. New Zealand's 1st and 2nd innings were dismantled by Ishant Sharma (4 wickets) and Harbhajan Singh (6 wickets) respectively. Tendulkar scored a brilliant 160 to help India post 520. Only 39 runs needed to win, India achieved the feat without losing any wicket.
India's biggest victory on English soil
Batting first at Leeds, India posted a massive score of 628/8d in this 2002 Test against England. Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Sourav Ganguly all scored centuries and India bundled up England for 273 runs and asked them to follow on. England's second innings collapsed as India clinched a victory by an innings and 46 runs. Anil Kumble picked 7 wickets across two innings.
