Indian innings
After a rain delay, the 3rd T20I had to be shortened to an eight-overs-a-side game. New Zealand won the toss and decided to field under somewhat unpredictable pitch conditions at Thiruvananthapuram's Greenfield stadium. Throughout their innings in the decider, India lost wickets on a regular basis making 67/5, a defendable score with some good overs of tight bowling from the men in blue.
First two wickets picked in the same over
Interestingly in the three match India-NZ T20I series, India lost their first two wickets in the same over, in each match.
India's winning streak
India have not lost an international series at home since losing 2-3 to South Africa in October 2015. Further they have not lost an international series anywhere since the 1-4 ODI series loss to Australia in January 2016.
