#IndiaInEngland: Root stars as England thrash India in 2nd ODI
England leveled the three-match ODI series at 1-1 after beating India comfortably by 86-runs in the second match. The hosts rallied to 322/7 after a special ton by under-fire batsman Joe Root. Besides him, Eoin Morgan and David Willey scored half-centuries. In reply, India kept losing wickets and ended their innings at 236/10. Raina top scored with a 46-run knock. Here's our match report.
England batting do the work
England got off to a good start as Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow added 69 for the 1st wicket. Both batsmen played some good shots but threw it away after innings of 40 and 38 respectively. However, Joe Root came in and shared a 103-run stand with skipper Morgan. Willey then played a whirlwind knock of 31-ball 50-runs.
Root scores maiden ODI ton at Lord's
Root slammed his first ODI ton at Lord's as he struck 113 off 116 balls. He hit eight fours and one six. Root, who was under pressure to score runs, responded beautifully. This was his 12th ODI ton in his 115th ODI.
Kuldeep continues good run with the ball
Kuldeep Yadav was superb with the ball, once again, as he continued to dominate Englishmen. After a six-for in the first game, he picked 3/68 this time to reach 48 ODI wickets in just 22 games. Besides him, Yuzvendra Chahal picked 1/43 and continued his impressive form as well. Umesh Yadav and Hardik Pandya picked a wicket each, but were plundered for runs.

Dhoni becomes 4th Indian to register 10,000 runs
Dhoni became the 4th Indian to register 10,000 runs in ODIs. He joined the likes of former legendary trio Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid. Dhoni achieved the same in his 320th ODI match.
