Sri Lanka vs India 4th T20I: Probable Playing XI
Rohit Sharma led India will look to avenge their opening match defeat, when they lock horns with Sri Lanka yet again at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Monday. India were beaten by 5 wickets, the last time these two sides met and the men in blue will be hoping to set that record straight. Here is our probable XI for this fixture.
Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul
Shikhar Dhawan has been the man in form for India. The southpaw has already scored two half-centuries in the tournament and will be looking to continue his run. KL Rahul is likely to get a chance in this fixture after Rishabh Pant failed to do justice to his immense potential in the last two games.
Raina, Rohit Sharma and Manish Pandey
KL Rahul's promotion as an opener might mean that Rohit Sharma will take the number 4 position, a spot he is used to playing with the Mumbai Indians. Rohit will be hoping to get some runs at number 4. Comeback man Suresh Raina has been in good nick and the same is true for Manish Pandey. These three men will hold India's middle-order together.
Dinesh Karthik, Vijay Shankar and Washington Sundar
In Dhoni's absence, Dinesh Karthik will continue to be the man behind the stumps. Washington Sundar and Vijay Shankar have continued to impress and the all-rounders are likely to retain their spot. We are yet to see what Sundar and Shankar can do with the bat but so far they have delivered good bowling performances.
Chahal, Unadkat and Shardul Thakur
Chahal will continue to be India's premier spinner in this tournament. Rohit will hope that his most experienced bowler Chahal shows his magic. Unadkat and Shardul Thakur will continue to lead the pace attack for India. Unadkat might be the leading wicket-taker in the tournament, but he has been on the expensive side and will need to keep his economy in-check.
