#IndiaInEngland: Players who could come in for remaining Tests
India have already suffered at the hands of hosts England and currently trail 0-2 in the 5-match Test series. The batting has been in absolute disarray and aplenty of things need to be addressed. India had announced the squad for three Tests and will likely bring in players from the squad in Nottingham. New faces could be seen in the final two games.
3rd Test: Rishabh Pant in for Dinesh Karthik
With DK struggling big time with scores of 0, 20, 1 and 0, the management may be tempted to get in Rishabh Pant for the third Test and give him the license to play freely. Pant is already in the squad and could be experimented in the third Test. The in-form Pant had a vital tour with India A earlier in July.
3rd Test: Karun Nair in for Ajinkya Rahane
Like Pant, the stylish middle-order Karun Nair is part of the Indian Test squad and is waiting for his chance. In 7 Ranji Trophy matches in 2017-18, Nair amassed 612 runs at an average of 68.00. The 26-year-old has played 6 Tests for India with a best of 303*. With Ajinkya Rahane continuing to struggle with his form, Nair could be given a look.
Final two Tests: Mayank Agarwal in for Murali Vijay
It remains to be seen whether India stick around with Murali Vijay. The struggling Vijay could get axed from the squad altogether after the 3rd Test. Mayank is the best bet to come in and feature as an opener. He was the highest scorer in 2017-18 Ranji Trophy. He has been scoring aplenty for India A recently, including 220 against South Africa A.
Bumrah's recovery is the focus, no new faces here!
The Indian bowlers have impressed so far and the current bunch will keep their places. If Jasprit Bumrah recovers, then he could come in for Umesh Yadav. Rest of the bowling looks settled and by no means we will see any new faces being drafted.
