Batting first, the Aussies scored 313/5 as Usman Khawaja (104) scored a ton. In reply, India fell short of the target, despite Virat Kohli hitting a ton. Here are the records broken.

Australian openers Aaron Finch (93) and Usman Khawaja added 193 runs for the first wicket. This was the seventh highest first-wicket stand for Australia in ODIs. Glenn Maxwell (47) played a solid hand as Aussies posted 313/5. Indian bowlers fought back at the death. Aaron Finch goes past Mark Taylor in career ODI runs
Aaron Finch became the third Australian captain to be dismissed in the score of 90s in ODIs in India. He joined the likes of former skippers Allan Border (Srinagar, Rajkot, 1986) and George Bailey (Jaipur, Ranchi, 2013). Finch hit his 19th career ODI fifty. He also went past 3,500 runs in ODI cricket (3,574). With this knock, he eclipsed Mark Taylor (3,514).
Usman Khawaja second oldest Aussie cricketer to hit ODI century
Usman Khawaja hit his maiden career ODI century in his 24th match. Khawaja is the second oldest Australian cricketer to hit an ODI ton (32 year 80 days). Adam Voges holds the record (33 year 129d) after hitting 112* versus West Indies in 2013.

Rohit joins Dhoni in this special feat
Rohit Sharma has joined MS Dhoni to be only the second Indian player to hit 350-plus sixes in international cricket. Dhoni, who hit one six in this match, now has 217 career ODI sixes. Meanwhile, Rohit has 216 sixes in the 50-over format. Kuldeep Yadav (3/64) now has 85 ODI scalps. Mohammed Shami now has 111 ODI scalps. He went past Yuvraj Singh (110).
Kohli continues to pile up the records
Kohli amassed his 41st career ODI ton. He needs nine more to get past Sachin Tendulkar for most ODI tons (49). This was his 66th international ton. The Indian skipper now has three tons this year in ODIs and they have come against Australia. He now has eight career ODI tons against Australia. Kohli also went past 500-plus runs in ODIs this year (584).
Kohli achieves some special records
Kohli became the fastest captain to score 4,000 ODI runs. He achieved the feat in his 63rd inning. In his last 11 ODI innings in India, Virat Kohli has now scored seven centuries. He now has five centuries against Australia at home and equaled his own feat (5) against West Indies. This was Kohli's 30th international century at home. He equalled Hashim Amla (30).
Kohli hits ninth ton while chasing 300-plus runs
This was the Indian captain's ninth ODI century while chasing 300 runs or more. It is five more than any other player. Former Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara and Englishman Jason Roy have four ODI centuries in 300+ chases.
