Rohit Sharma cleared to play against the Tigers
Team India received a boost in the form of its skipper Rohit Sharma being cleared after an injury scare on Friday. "Rohit Sharma was hit in the left side of his abdomen while batting in the nets today. The BCCI medical team has confirmed that he is fit and available for the first T20I after assessment of his injury," a BCCI statement read.
Conditions, timing, TV listing and pitch report
As per reports, the weather is expected to stay clear with no rain predicted during the match hours. However, the severe levels of pollution in Delhi can be an issue. The match is scheduled for a 7 PM IST start and will be telecast live on the Star Sports Network. One expects the dew factor to be constant. The pitch will assist the batsmen.
Team India will look for a complete show
India will be aiming to stamp their authority in the first match and get off to a strong start. Several players will be on focus and the application of the batsmen will be key.
