England win the first T20 against India
England took a 1-0 lead in the T20 series as they chased the target of 148 runs with 11 balls to spare. After a good bowling performance, England put on an amazing batting show with captain Eoin Morgin scoring 51 runs and Joe Root scoring 46. Yuzvendra Chahal picked up two wickets in the same over, but could not help India defend their total.
India - England play first T20I today
After a test and ODI match series, India will host England for the three match T20 series, starting today. While the first match is played today, the second will be played on 29 January and the last will be on 1 February. The first T20 match on Republic Day will be the first T20 international for Kanpur's Green park Stadium.
Parvez Rasool makes his T20 debut for India
Parvez Rasool became the first off-spinner from Jammu and Kashmir to make his T20 debut for India. He was handed his cap before the first T20 at Kanpur. He has played one ODI for India, back in 2014.

England bowlers made no mistake after their captain decided to bowl first as they won the toss. India kept losing wickets on regular intervals; KL Rahul was caught at the score of 8. Virat Kohli scored 26 runs, Suresh Raina 34, while MS Dhoni was unbeaten on 36 as India scored 147 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs.
Moeen Ali gets his best T20 bowling figues
England's Moeen Ali got his best T20 bowling figures of two wickets for 21 runs in four overs. His previous best was 2-22 against South Africa in Cape Town.
