Clarke says that India know D/N Tests don't suit them
Cricket legend Michael Clarke has said that India's upcoming tour of Australia is their best chance to script their first-ever Test series win 'Down Under'. He further claimed that India have strengthened their chances by refusing to play the Day/Night Test. According to Clarke, the pink-ball Test doesn't suit India. The first Test between the two sides would begin on December 6.
Clarke thinks this is India's best-shot at winning in Australia
"I think India feel like they know the conditions that will suit them best to beat Australia. Remember India have never beaten Australia ever in Australia. This is their chance," Clarke said.
India have refused to play D/N Test in Adelaide
Cricket Australia wanted to play the first Test in Adelaide under the lights but the BCCI has made it clear that Virat Kohli & Co. are not interested in a pink ball Test during their tour of Australia. India will play 3 Tests against the Aussies which is scheduled to start from December 6. India will also play 3 T20Is before their Test series.
Why did Indian refuse to play a D/N Test?
"During the day, the wicket is flatter and spin a little bit more. At night there is no spin, there is moisture and bit more movement. So India prefers to take their chances during the day." Clarke said, while explaining the rationale behind India's refusal.
