Team India on Saturday defeated Sri Lanka by seven wickets to clinch the three-match T20I series. This is India's third consecutive series win in the format. Indian middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer scored his second successive fifty. It is his 5th T20I fifty overall. He scored 74 runs off 44 balls. He hit six fours and four sixes. He had added 57* from 28 balls in the first T20I.

Sri Lanka surpassed a decade-old record
Sri Lanka on Saturday smashed 72 runs in the death overs (17 to 20) and in the process surpassed a decade-old record. These are the most India have leaked against any side in T20Is during death overs in the last 10 years. The last team to score 70 plus runs against India between 17 to 20 overs was South Africa in 2012.
Captain Rohit Sharma scripts a record
With this win, captain Rohit Sharma scripted a unique record. He has now become the most successful T20I captain at home with 16 wins to his name. Since he became a full-time captain, India are unbeaten in this format.
Nissanka records his highest score in T20Is
Sri Lanka opener Pathum Nissanka starred with the bat for tourists. He scored 75 runs off 53 balls with the help of 11 boundaries. It is also his highest score in the shortest format of the game. He surpassed the 500-run mark in T20Is as well. He batted with a sense of purpose. He found the gaps and dominated the show.
