India thrash Ireland in 2nd T20I: Here're the records broken
India decimated Ireland by 143 runs to win the second T20I and the two-match series by a 2-0 margin. After hitting 208 runs in the first game, this time India managed 213/4 in 20 overs. KL Rahul and Suresh Raina smashed half-centuries before a blitz by Hardik Pandya helped them get to a monumental total. In reply, Ireland were bundled out for 70 runs.
Wrist spinners continue their magic
After picking seven wickets between them in the first T20I, the pair of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav were, once again, on top of their game. They accounted for six Irish wickets this time. The duo ran through the Ireland middle and lower order to give skipper Virat Kohli the confidence to keep attacking. 13 wickets in the series show their immense value.

India script some new records in T20Is
This was the joint-second biggest win in T20I cricket history in terms of runs (143). Pakistan's win over West Indies, earlier this year, in Karachi was by the same margin. This was India's biggest win in T20Is in terms of runs. Their previous biggest win was against Sri Lanka in 2017. This was the lowest total by an opponent against India in T20Is.
India script a new record
Hardik Pandya's strike-rate of 355.55 in this match became the third highest ever in a T20I match. This was India's 11th 200+ total in T20Is. It is the joint-most by any side along with South Africa. Suresh Raina joined Shane Watson and Rishabh Pant to become only the third batsman in 2018 to get past 1,000 runs in T20 cricket across all formats.
Rahul, Raina heroics floor Ireland
The Indian batting duo of Suresh Raina and KL Rahul wrecked havoc for Ireland. The pair added 106 runs for the 2nd wicket. Rahul smashed a 36-ball 70 runs that included three fours and six sixes. Raina, too, was in flow after hitting a 45-ball 69. The southpaw hit five fours and three sixes and added another 41 runs with Manish Pandey.
