India B beat Vijay Hazare champions Karnataka
India B lifted the 2017-18 Deodar Trophy after comfortably beating Vijay Hazare champions Karnataka by six wickets in Dharamsala. In pursuit of 280 runs in 50 overs, India B chased down the target in 48.2 overs with as many as four batsmen hitting fifties. India B script a perfect chase
With a challenging 280 runs in front of them, India B led by Shreyas Iyer showed no mercy. Openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Abhimanyu Easwaran slammed fifties to add 84 runs for the first wicket. Gaikwad (58) smashed seven fours and two sixes before being dismissed. After GH Vihari's dismissal, Easwaran (69), Iyer (61) and Manoj Tiwary (59*) finished the chase with respective half-centuries.
Karnataka ride through Samarth's 107
Earlier, Karnataka lost 4-wickets for 64 runs before Ravikumar Samarth and CM Gautam got together. The duo added 132 runs for the fifth wicket with Gautam scripting a 84-ball 76. Samarth continued to bat long and got to a well deserved century (107). He fell in the 49th over and by then Karnataka had crossed the 270-run mark. They scored 279/8 in 50 overs.

Karnataka's Samarth finished as the highest scorer in the Deodar Trophy with 309 runs from three matches. Shreyas Gopal ended with seven wickets to be the highest wicket-taker. India B had lost the 2016-17 final to Tamil Nadu, but won this time around.
