Prithvi Shaw to make debut against West Indies
India's 18-year-old Prithvi Shaw is set to make his senior team debut in the first Test against West Indies, starting October 4. A 12-member squad was announced by the BCCI on Wednesday. Interestingly, run-machine Mayank didn't find a place in the list. Mayank was selected in the 15-member squad announced, earlier, by the BCCI. Here is more.

A look into India's team which would face WI
India have opted for 5 specialist batsmen, one wicket-keeper batsman and are going in with 5 bowlers. All three of India's spinners are set to feature in Rajkot. Kuldeep Yadav gets a look in alongside Ashwin and Jadeja. Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami are the two pacers. The batting line-up sees Vihari left out as Virat Kohli is set to lead. Shaw replaces Dhawan.
Shaw in as Mayank put in the waiting list
Shaw was, earlier, selected for the 18-member squad against England post the third Test, but didn't get a chance. But now he is all set to make his debut and open the batting alongside KL Rahul. It was expected that Mayank would get the opportunity after being in tremendous form, but the Karnataka batsman has to now sit and wait for his chance.
