NZvsIND: Records that could be scripted in the fourth ODI
India and New Zealand will be facing each other in the fourth ODI at Seddon Park, Hamilton on Thursday. The visitors have already sealed the five-match series after taking a 3-0 lead. New Zealand will be aiming to give a better account of themselves this time around. The match can witness several records being scripted by Indian players. Here are the details.
Rohit set to play 200th ODI for India
Rohit Sharma has been the in-form batsman for India and struck successive half-centuries in the series. He is set to play his 200th ODI for India. The stand-in skipper will become the 14th Indian to record this special feat. He has hit 22 ODI hundreds and 39 fifties. A ton could see Rohit get past legend Sourav Ganguly, who had 22 career ODI centuries.
Jadhav needs 33 to get to 1,000-run mark in ODIs
Indian all-rounder Kedar Jadhav needs another 33 runs to reach the 1,000-run mark in ODIs for India. If he reach this feat in the next innings, it would make him become the joint 11th fastest Indian to reach this landmark along with former cricketers, Krishnamachari Srikkanth and Sachin Tendulkar. Both Srikkanth and Tendulkar had taken 34 innings to get to 1,000 ODI runs.
Skipper Rohit could go past MS Dhoni
No Indian captain has ever notched a century in ODIs in New Zealand. Former skipper MS Dhoni's 84* against Zimbabwe at Auckland in 2015 is the highest knock by an Indian captain. Rohit could get past MSD if he scores 84+ runs tomorrow. India could earn only their second win here in Hamilton if they emerge victorious. They have won one in five matches.
Match timing, TV listing and venue
The fourth ODI will be telecast live on the Star Sports Network. One can stream the match live on Hotstar. It is scheduled for a 7:30 AM IST start. The match will be held at Seddon Park, Hamilton.
