Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan batted beautifully upfront to help the side post a massive score (199/2) in the first T20I versus Sri Lanka in Lucknow. Kishan (89) led the way with a dazzling half-century, playing the aggressive way. Rohit supported Kishan before being out for 44. They added 111 runs. Shreyas Iyer then chipped in with a fifty.

India had a productive time in the PP overs. They managed 58 runs in the first six. Kishan led the charge with a 22-ball 39. Rohit managed 17 from 14 balls. India managed eight boundaries during this phase.

Indian skipper Rohit is now the highest scorer in T20Is. He is the first player to surpass the 3,300-run mark in the format. He has gone past Martin Guptill (3,299) and Virat Kohli (3,296) in terms of T20I runs. Rohit slammed a 44-run knock before being bowled by Lahiru Kumara. Rohit has 3,307 runs at 33.07.
Kishan slams 89 for India
Playing his ninth T20I, Kishan slammed his second T20I fifty. He surpassed the 250-run mark as well. He batted with a sense of purpose. He found the gaps and dominated the show. He consumed 56 deliveries, hitting 10 fours and three sixes.
