India need 95 runs to win Kanpur Test: Details here
Team India has been tasked with a target of 95 runs in the second and final Test against Bangladesh at Kanpur's Green Park. The Tigers were bundled out for 146 in the third innings after resuming the final day at 26/2. Shadman Islam starred for them with a fine fifty. Spin twins Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin starred for India. Here's the innings report.
Bangladesh post a below-par total
Bangladesh, who had a first-innings deficit of 52 runs, lost two early wickets. However, Shadman negotiated the Indian bowlers brilliantly and scored 50 runs. However, he didn't receive support from rest of his teammates as Mushfiqur Rahim (37) was the only other Bangladesh batter to score over 20. Ashwin took the first three wickets before Jadeja joined the party.
How did the bowlers perform?
Ashwin, who made the first three strikes, returned with 3/50 across 15 overs. His partner-in-crime Jadeja also dismissed three batters, conceding 34 runs in his 10-over spell. Jasprit Bumrah scalped the last three wickets, finishing with 3/17 in 10 overs. While Akash Deep claimed 1/20 in eight overs, Mohammed Siraj delivered four wicket-less overs for 19 runs.
