    What's the story

Bouncing back from the first T20I loss, New Zealand won their second match against India at Rajkot levelling the three-match T20I series 1-1.

Having lost the opening wickets early in the innings, India failed to chase down the 197 run target set by New Zealand, falling short of 40 runs.

Let's look at the match highlights and some interesting statistics.

    NZ innings

Colin Munro's century propels New Zealand to 196

Winning the toss, New Zealand decided to bat first scoring 196/2 in the 2nd T20I in Rajkot.

It was a Colin Munro show as the Kiwi opener went on to score 109* off 58 balls, the only batsman to ever hit a century against India in India in T20Is.

He is also the first batsman to score two T20I centuries in a year.

    Data

Munro only the fourth player with two T20I 100s

A second T20I 100 for Munro meant that he is just the fourth player to join the small group of players with two T20I tons. Other three are Brendon McCullum, Chris Gayle, and Evin Lewis.

    Achievement

Virat Kohli becomes the second highest T20I run scorer

Kohli with a score of 65 in today's match reached a total of 1943 T20I runs, becoming the second highest run scorer in the format after Brendon McCullum (2140).

The Indian skipper also reached the 7000 run milestone in T20 cricket, the second quickest to do so (211 innings) after Chris Gayle (192). He has the highest T20 career runs from India.

    Information

    Mohammed Siraj's debut for India

Having debuted in the 2nd T20I against NZ, Mohammed Siraj became the 71st player to play for India in T20Is.
