The 30-year-old Icelandic midfielder came on for just 30 minutes against Argentina, in what was Iceland maiden appearance at a World Cup finals.
Iceland had a great maiden match, drawing 1-1 with one of the tournament's strongest attack sides.
As for Gislason, who plays for second division German side SV Sandhausen, well, let's just say he got more than he was looking for.
