Women's T20 WC: ICC announces extensive coverage with leading commentators
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced its comprehensive broadcast plan for the upcoming 2024 Women's T20 World Cup. The tournament will be covered live with a minimum of 28 cameras used at each game, supplemented by various analytical and visual enhancements. Each match would have the Decision Review System (DRS) along with a Hawk-eye Smart Replay system. Meanwhile, a star-studded list of female commentators has been released.
Star-studded commentary team for Women's T20 World Cup
The tournament will feature a star-studded, female-led commentary team. World Cup winners Mel Jones, Lisa Sthalekar, Stacy Ann King, Lydia Greenway, and Carlos Brathwaite will be joined by former stars Anjum Chopra and Katey Martin. Ex-India coach WV Raman will also lend his expertise to the panel. Adding to the excitement, former India captain Mithali Raj will pair up with her on-field rival Sana Mir in the commentary box.
Leading voices in cricket broadcasting join commentary team
The commentary team will also include leading voices in cricket such as Natalie Germanos, Ian Bishop, Kass Naidoo, Nasser Hussain, Alison Mitchell, and Mpumelelo Mbangwa. Kass Naidoo and Laura McGoldrick will share presenting duties for the build-up shows.
