ECB announces England's 15-member squad for ICC World Cup 2019

    What's the story

With just over a month to go for ICC World Cup 2019, the teams have started announcing their 15-member squad for the mega event.

Meanwhile, the hosts England became the fifth team to announce their squad.

In what is certainly a star-studded side, one notable exclusion came in the form of pacer Jofra Archer.

Here we analyze the England's squad.

    Batsmen

Eoin Morgan to lead along with five specialist batsmen

England batting line-up is set to consist of five specialist batsmen, led by skipper Morgan'>Eoin Morgan.

While Jason Roy is their number one explosive opener, he would be supported by Alex Hales.

In the middle-order, they would have the priceless services of Joe Root and Morgan.

Meanwhile, Joe Denly's inclusion in the squad is nothing more than a back-up.

    Wicket-keeper

Jonny Bairstow and Jos Buttler the only wicket-keeper batsmen

England have decided to go ahead with just two wicket-keeper batsmen.

They will have Jonny Bairstow, who has been in splendid form. Even, in the ongoing IPL, he has been in good touch.

Meanwhile, Jos Buttler can also destroy any bowling line-up on his day.

Thus chances are high that he can included as a specialist batsman in the Playing XI.

    All-rounders

Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali to headline all-round department

The all-round department of England has five players.

Among them, Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali are the ones to headline the department.

While Stokes has been doing fairly great for England, Moeen too has been in fine form, especially with the ball.

Among the others, David Willey and Chris Woakes are likely to give them additional support.

    Bowlers

Adil Rashid, Mark Wood and Liam Plunkett, only specialist bowlers

Considering England's bowling department, they have the least number of specialist bowlers among the sides announced so far.

The department will have the services of Mark Wood and Liam Plunkett.

While Wood has been their prime pacer of late, Plunkett would mostly be their back-up.

As for the spinners, Adil Rashid will be their key man, while he would get support from Moeen.
