Prithvi Shaw gives injury update, expects to feature in IPL
Indian opener Prithvi Shaw, who stunned the cricketing world with his wonderful performance in his debut Test against West Indies, recently gave an update about his injury. The youngster said that he is recuperating well from the injury which he suffered during the tour match against Cricket Australia XI. Shaw hopes to feature in the next season of IPL. Here is more.
Shaw's comments on his injury, is happy for India's victory
"I am working on my ankle as well as on my upper body", said Shaw to India TV, adding that it was unfortunate he could not play in the series against Australia, as he loves the bounce there. "But that's okay, I am very happy that India won the Test series. It can't get better than this," Shaw said.

Shaw, the 293rd Indian to be handed the Test cap, scored a thunderous century in his debut Test match against West Indies, as he became the youngest Indian to score a century on his Test debut. Notably, Shaw guided India to their fourth U-19 World Cup title in 2018. Till date, Shaw has played 2 Tests, scoring 237 runs at an average of 118.50.

Shaw played in the IPL for the first time in 2018. He became the youngest IPL opener in the league. He is also the joint-youngest player to score a half-century in IPL, doing so against Kolkata Knight Riders. He will be crucial for Delhi Capitals this term, as he can lay a strong foundation atop. Further, he has exquisite shot selection and stroke play.
