Hazard says he wants to work under Mourinho once again
Talismanic Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has revealed that he would like to work, once again, under former manager Jose Mourinho. Hazard has also stated that Mourinho criticizes his players harshly if they lose a match or do not perform according to his expectations, but is the best coach in the world if they win. Mourinho's recent run at Chelsea was, however, mired with failures.
Mourinho's tactics sometimes restrict players, but Hazard feels differently
Mourinho has often been criticized for using tactics that restrict his players from giving their best. Sanchez, Martial, and Pogba are suffering the same issues at United under Mourinho. However, Hazard feels differently and stated that he did not feel restricted under the Portuguese manager. "The year in which we became champions, we scored many goals and played good games", said the Belgian international.
How were Mourinho's spells with Chelsea?
Mourinho has had two spells at Chelsea as manager, first during 2004-07 and then again from 2013 to 2015. In his first spell, Mourinho won two consecutive Premier Leagues with Chelsea in 2004-05, and 2005-06, and also won the 2006-07 FA Cup, making a huge impact on the English football circuit. In his second spell, he again won the 2014-15 Premier League.
Last six months under Mourinho were bad: Hazard
Hazard also commented that the last six months under Mourinho were the worst of his career, and agreed that it was partly his fault. He said that after Chelsea won the title, he had asked Mourinho for extra holidays and was unfit when he returned. Eden learnt his lesson and he was back to training four weeks after the World Cup this term.
