Liverpool should be the ugliest team to play against: Klopp
Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, reminded everyone that the Reds have not won anything yet under him, and he wants to use their brilliant ongoing momentum to grab some silverware. Klopp also wants Liverpool to be the dirtiest team, which clubs face this season. Liverpool were in fine form, last term, with them playing the Champions League final and Salah scoring 40 goals.
Klopp says aggression has been the key
Klopp says Liverpool have never felt momentum-building, as their mantra has been, "play, analyze, prepare". Klopp insists this is because all the matches have been difficult, and there has never been a time when Liverpool have taken their opponents lightly. None of the victories would have been possible without the aggression and hunger on display every time they step out.
Klopp says he is happy with Liverpool's defense
The Liverpool manager seems pleased with his defense, as after signing Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool have managed to cover their defensive frailties. In addition, Joe Gomez has been doing a wonderful job alongside van Dijk in solidifying Liverpool's defense. "The best news I have had in the last two weeks is how we have changed or reinvented again our defensive skills," said Klopp.
Shaqiri has been fantastic, Salah's form not a worry: Klopp
Klopp has praised Xherdan Shaqiri, who moved this season to Liverpool from Stoke City. "He is very positive, not only from the performances but as a guy in the dressing room", said Klopp regarding Shaqiri. He commented that he himself is at fault for Shaqiri not getting more playing time. Klopp is also not worried about Salah not scoring in the past three matches.
