Rashid Khan thanks Adelaide Strikers, fans following his father's death

Afghanistan cricket sensation Rashid Khan thanked his Big Bash League (BBL) team Adelaide Strikers and the fans for showing immense support following his father's death.
The ace spinner played a prominent role for his side during the New Year's Eve BBL clash against Sydney Thunder.
He featured for Adelaide despite the death of his father the previous day.

Speaking to ICC, the Afghan spinner thanked his team members for showing emotional support during the tough period.
"They were in my room until late (after the New Year's Eve game), encouraging me. I really love that - that kept me alive there, fresh and fine. They were coming to me after five minutes and hugging me," said Rashid.

He has impressed one and all with a modest economy rate of 4.65.
