Chase's ton helps WI hold India
Roston Chase scored a defiant hundred helping the hosts to draw the match. He got assistance from Jermaine Blackwood and Jason Holder who scored 63 and 64 runs respectively. Shane Dowrich scored 74 runs and had a 144 run stand off with Chase. The match ended in a draw and the West Indies scored 388 runs for the loss of six wickets.
India starts second test on a positive note
After winning the first test match against West Indies (WI), India look to whitewash the inexperienced WI team. However, the pitch at Jamaica is a total contrast as compared to the pitch at Antigua.
Early shock for the hosts
Indian bowlers dominated the first day with Ishant Sharma taking two consecutive wickets in the third over. Mohammad Shami took another one in sixth over as WI lost three wickets for seven runs. Jermaine Blackwood scored 62 runs as he stabilized the host's position in the match. Ravichandran Ashwin's 18th five-wicket haul helped India restrict WI to 196.
India's solid reply to West Indies
Opening the batting with Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul went on to score a half century at the end of Day 1. India scored 126 runs for the loss of one wicket as the day ended.
K L Rahul dominates Day 2
K L Rahul continued his dominance over the West Indian team as he completed his century. His 121-run partnership with Cheteshwar Pujara and 69-run stand with captain Kohli gave India a good lead against the hosts. Rahul scored 158 runs before he was caught behind by keeper Dowrich. Ajunkya Rahane scored unbeaten 42 runs as the day ended giving India 162 runs lead.
Rahane scores century, rain plays spoil sport
Day 3 belonged to Ajinkya Rahane as he scored his seventh ton. India had a lead of 250 runs when the drizzling started and the covers were on the pitch. But the covers came off soon and India resumed their innings and declared at 500, with a 304-run lead. But rain played spoil sport once again and the day's play was called off.
Early end to Day 4
Rain forced the umpires to end the Day 4 with only 15.5 overs being played. West Indies scored 48 runs for four wickets. Mohammad Shami took two wickets, while, Ishant Sharma and Amit Mishra bagged one each.

Roston Chase was declared the "Man of the Match" as he took five wickets conceding 121 runs in first innings and scored 137 in the second. This was his second test match and he won the award for the first time.
