As mentioned, Australia now also own the record for the highest-ever team score in Champions Trophy history.
The Aussies chased down England's target of 352 runs in Lahore during their opening match in the tournament.
They finished with 356/5, courtesy of Josh Inglis's unbeaten 120-run knock and attacking half-centuries from Matt Short (63) and Alex Carey (69)
Glenn Maxwell's (32*) finishing cameo took Australia over the line in the 48th over, winning by five wickets.

England - 351 vs Australia, Lahore (2025)
In the aforementioned match, England managed the second-highest team total in CT history managing 351/8 against Australia in Lahore.
England managed the historic score while batting first, thanks to Ben Duckett's record-breaking 165-run knock, supported by Joe Root's solid 68 .
Notably, their combined efforts made England the first team to breach the 350-run mark in Champions Trophy history.
However, despite this impressive batting display, they lost the match as Inglis led Australia to a successful chase.

New Zealand - 347 vs USA, 2004 (The Oval)
New Zealand etched their name in Champions Trophy history with a towering 347/4 against the USA in the second match at The Oval during the 2004 edition.
A dominant third-wicket partnership fueled the charge, with Nathan Astle (145*) and Scott Styris (75) leading the way.
Craig McMillan added fireworks with a blistering 64 off 27 balls.
However, Jacob Oram's stunning 5/36 then dismantled the USA for 137, sealing a massive 210-run victory.

Pakistan - 338 vs India, 2017, (The Oval)
In the 2017 Champions Trophy final, Pakistan posted a mammoth 338/4 against India at The Oval.
This incredible feat was made possible by opener Fakhar Zaman's brilliant 114-run knock and his crucial 128-run partnership with Azhar Ali (56).
Meanwhile, Pakistan won the game by a whopping 180 runs on the back of Mohammad Amir's 3/16 and Hasan Ali's 3/19 to clinch their maiden Champions Trophy title.

India - 331 vs South Africa, 2013, (Cardiff)
During the first match of the 2013 edition of the Champions Trophy, India recorded the posted 331/7 against South Africa in Cardiff.
Openers Rohit Sharma (65) and Shikhar Dhawan (114) set the stage for the big score.
All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja provided the finishing touch with his quick-fire 47 off just 29 balls.
Meanwhile, the Indian bowlers tore through the SA batting line-up, guiding India to a 26-run victory.
