Delhi Capitals (DC) began their 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign with a thrilling win over Lucknow Super Giants in Vizag.
The Capitals successfully chased down 210, with Ashutosh Sharma taking them to an incredible win. His exploits powered DC, who were 65/5 at one stage.
DC registered their most successful run-chase in the cash-rich league.

210 vs LSG, 2025, Vizag
DC's 210 is now their highest target chased down in the IPL.
Despite losing two early wickets and being reduced to 65/5, DC made an impressive comeback led by Tristan Stubbs (34), Ashutosh Sharma (66*), and Vipraj Nigam (39).
Ashutosh's 31-ball knock had 5 fours and as many sixes. He mattered when DC required 42 off 23 balls with just three wickets.

209 vs Gujarat Lions, 2017, Delhi
Only on one other occasion, the Capitals have chased down more than 200 runs in the IPL.
DC, who were Delhi Daredevils in 2017, completed their run-chase of 209 against Gujarat Lions in just 17.3 overs.
A young Rishabh Pant slammed a 43-ball 97 (6 fours and 9 sixes). Sanju Samson earlier slammed a 31-ball 61, which powered DC's win on their home ground.

196 vs Gujarat Lions, 2017, Kanpur
A week later, DC once again shone in their run-chase against the same opponent, this time in Kanpur.
Shreyas Iyer's 96(57) helped the Capitals chase down 196 against the Lions.
In IPL 2021, DC once again completed a 196-run target, against Punjab Kings at the Wankhede Stadium. Shikhar Dhawan was their star this time, having scored a 49-ball 92.
