The West Indies cricket team is gearing up for their first Test assignment on Pakistani soil since 2006.
The two-match series, which will get underway on January 17, will be a historic one.
It must be noted that none of the current WI players have played a Test in Pakistan.
Here we look back at batters with 1,000-plus runs in Test matches between the two sides.

Younis Khan - 1,030 runs
The only Pakistani with over 10,000 Test runs to date, Younis Khan is fifth on this list.
As per ESPNcricinfo, he managed 1,030 runs runs from 15 Tests against the West Indies.
Despite his career average of 52.05, Younis's average against the West Indies was relatively low at just 38.14.
His tally includes nine 50-plus scores, including three centuries (Highest score: 153).

Viv Richards - 1,091 runs
Another cricket legend, Vivian Richards, also makes it to this list.
He scored 1,091 runs against across 16 Tests against Pakistan.
The tally includes two tons besides seven fifties with 123 being his best score.
Although his career average is over 50, his performance against Pakistani soil was a tad lower (41.96).
This dip is majorly due to his struggles on Pakistan soil.

Inzamam-ul-Haq - 1,124 runs
Hailed as one of the finest middle-order batters from Asia, Inzamam-ul-Haq also made a significant mark against WI.
He scored 1,124 runs across 15 Tests against the team at a fine average of 53.52. Four of his nine 50-plus scores against WI were converted into tons.
The veteran's highest score against the team reads 177.

Brian Lara - 1,173 runs
Brian Lara, one of the greatest batters in cricket history and the holder of highest score in Test cricket, is the only other WI star on this list.
He scored an impressive total of 1,173 runs from just 12 Tests against Pakistan.
While Lara's average in this regard is an impressive 53.31, his tally includes four tons and three fifties (Highest score: 216).

Mohammad Yousuf - 1,214 runs
Topping the list is Mohammad Yousuf, who scored a whopping 1,214 runs in just eight Tests against the West Indies at a stupendous average of 101.16.
The tally includes seven tons besides three fifties as well with 192 being his best score.
Not only is Yousuf the highest run-scorer in games between these two sides, but he has also played far fewer innings (12) than any other player on this list.
