Batters with highest individual scores for USA in T20Is
USA claimed a terrific win over Canada in the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup opener in Dallas. Aaron Jones and Andries Gous hammered fifties as the United States chased down 195 to record a win on their T20 World Cup debut. Jones smashed a 40-ball 94* to get USA home in 17.4 overs. This is now the second-highest individual score for USA in T20Is.
Steven Taylor: 101* vs Jersey, 2022
Steven Taylor remains the only batter to have smacked a century for USA in T20 Internationals. He slammed an unbeaten 101 off 55 balls against Jersey in the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifier. Taylor's ton helped USA chase down a modest 155 with 11 balls remaining. USA eventually won the match by eight wickets.
Aaron Jones: 94* vs Canada, 2024
Jones was at his destructive best against Canada as he hammered the fastest T20I fifty by a USA batter, off 22 balls. The USA batter remained unbeaten, having scored 94 off just 40 balls. He hammered four boundaries besides 10 maximums. As many as 69 of his runs came against spinners. He had a strike-rate of 276.00 in this regard.
Steven Taylor: 72 vs UAE, 2019
Taylor smacked a 39-ball 72 in the 1st T20I during USA's tour to United Arab Emirates in 2019. USA racked up 152/7 in 15 overs in a rain-curtailed fixture. Taylor, who came in at number three, contributed to it with 9 fours and 3 sixes. UAE were later 29/2 in 3.3 overs before the fixture was washed out.
Monak Patel: 68 vs Canada, 2024
Monak Patel slammed a 35-ball 68 in the 2nd T20I during USA's tour to Canada earlier this year. USA compiled 230/3 in 20 overs, with their top three scoring half-centuries. Their skipper Monak Patel smashed a 35-ball 68, a knock laced with 10 fours and 2 sixes. Canada were later bowled out fo 199. Aaron Johnson smashed 74 for them.
