Champions Trophy: A look at India's highest-individual scores

The much-awaited Champions Trophy (CT) 2025 cricket tournament will kick off on February 19.
The event will open with a match between co-hosts and defending champions Pakistan, and New Zealand.
This year, the Indian team has decided against traveling to Pakistan over security concerns and will play their matches in the United Arab Emirates.
Here we look at Indian batters with the highest-individual scores at the event.

Sourav Ganguly - 141* vs South Africa, 2000
In the second semi-final of the 2000 CT, captain Sourav Ganguly led from the front with an unbeaten 141 off 142 balls against South Africa in Nairobi.
His innings, laced with 11 fours and six sixes, powered India to 295/6 in their allotted overs. Notably, the Indian skipper recorded a century stand with Rahul Dravid.
Ganguly even took a crucial wicket during South Africa's chase, earning him Player of the Match honors as India advanced to the final.

Sachin Tendulkar - 141 vs Australia, 1998
Sachin Tendulkar produced one of his best ODI knocks in the quarterfinal match of the inaugural CT against Australia in Dhaka,.
Though India lost early wickets, Tendulkar's brilliant 141-run innings off 128 balls (13 fours, three sixes) helped India finish at 307/8.
He also picked four wickets in the second innings, leading India to a 44-run win and winning the Player of the Match award.

Virender Sehwag - 126 vs England, 2002
India beat England by eight wickets in the 2002 CT league game in Colombo.
The Men in Blue chased down the 270-run total without breaking a sweat as both openers Virender Sehwag (126) and Ganguly (117*) hammered tons.
The former was destructive in particular as he smoked 21 fours and a maximum during his 104-ball stay. India hence prevailed in just 39.3 overs.

Shikhar Dhawan - 125 vs Sri Lanka, 2017
Albeit in a losing cause, Shikhar Dhawan played a fine knock in the 2017 CT game against Sri Lanka.
The match took place at London's Kennington Oval as India posted a challenging 321/6 while batting first.
Openers Rohit Sharma (78) and Dhawan added 138 runs before the former was dismissed. Dhawan went on to score 125 off 128 balls, smoking 15 fours and a six.
Despite losing an early wicket, SL (322/3) crossed the line.
