Sunrisers Hyderabad lost to Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) Qualifier 1 in Ahmedabad. However, SRH skipper Pat Cummins impressed with his all-round exploits. Shikhar Dhawan and Mohit Rathee hold the record for the highest 10th-wicket partnership in IPL history. The duo added an unbeaten 55 for Punjab Kings against SRH at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in IPL 2023. While PBKS were reduced to 88/9, Dhawan continued as their lone warrior. His 66-ball 99* powered them to 143/9. However, PBKS eventually lost by two wickets.
Cummins and Viyaskanth: 33 vs KKR, Ahmedabad, 2024
As mentioned, Cummins and Viyaskanth shared a 33-run stand for the 10th wicket in the 2024 IPL Qualifier 1 against SRH. SRH suffered a middle-order collapse after Rahul Tripathi's fifty resuced them. They were eventually down to 126/9 before Cummins and Viyaskanth rescued them. The SRH skipper eventually smashsed a 24-ball 30 (2 fours and 2 sixes).
Curran and Ankit: 31* vs KKR, Dubai, 2020
In the IPL 2020 encounter, Rajasthan Royals attempted to chase down 175 in Dubai. KKR derailed to Royals early on and dismissed half their side for 42. RR eventually slumped to 106/9 before Tom Curran and Ankit Rajpoot fueled their innings. They added 31 runs, with Curran completing his half-century. The Royals could manage 137/9 in the run-chase.
Russell and Chakravarthy: 31 vs DC, Delhi, 2023
KKR were in a spot of bother against Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2023 encounter. Altough opener Jason Roy smashed 43, they were reduced to 96/9 in the 16th over. The DC bowlers were all over the Knight Riders. Andre Russell and Varun Chakravarthy then joined forces to take KKR to a respectable total. They added 31 runs as KKR smashed 127.
