Commonwealth Games: Sushil Kumar bags gold at Gold Coast
Two-time Olympic-medalist Sushil Kumar won his third consecutive gold medal at the Commonwealth Games after a comprehensive win over South Africa's Johannes Botha in the final of the 74kg wrestling event. This is India's 14th gold medal at the ongoing Commonwealth Games. Sushil, who is the defending champion, retained the gold with a 11-0 victory over his South African counterpart.

Sushil dominated the final from the start and made light work of his opponent as he needed just 80 seconds to bag the gold medal. Sushil bagged 6 quick points within the first 60 seconds of round one and then completed the 11-0 win by technical supremacy. Sushil has been so dominant that he hasn't lost a single point at Gold Coast.
This is Sushil's third consecutive gold at CWG
Sushil Kumar had won the gold medal in 66kg weight category in 2010, and gold in 74kg in 2014 games. The wrestling ace earlier claimed comfortable victories against Canada's Jevon Balfour and Pakistan's Muhammad Asad Butt by technical superiority. The 34-year-old then beat Australia's Connor Evans scoring a victory by pin fall inside two minutes to set up the summit clash against Johannes Botha.
