Decoding Harry Brook's misery against leg-spin in India T20Is
What's the story
England's middle-order batter Harry Brook had a tough time in the recently-concluded five-T20I series against India.
He was dismissed by leg-spinners in all five games as the Brits suffered a 1-4 defeat.
While he scored 51 in the fourth game, Brook's other scores in the series were 17, 13, 8, and 2.
Here we look at his struggles versus leggies in the India T20I series.
Struggles continue
Brook's difficulties with spin
After the first T20I in Kolkata, Brook had admitted his struggle against spin due to smog at Eden Gardens.
He had said, "Varun Chakravarthy is an exceptionally good bowler. But with the smog the other night, it was a lot harder to pick."
Despite this admission and hopes for better conditions, his struggles against India's spin attack continued throughout the series.
Dismissal details
Brook's dismissal by Indian leg-spinners
Brook was dismissed by Chakravarthy in the first two matches of the series, with Chakravarthy breaching his defense on both occasions.
In Rajkot, he inside-edged a delivery from Ravi Bishnoi while attempting to sweep him from outside off stump.
While Chakravarthy failed to time a big shot against Chakravarthy in the penultimate match, Brook again miscued a sweep shot against Bishnoi in the series finale.
