Women's team seeks to break T20 World Cup drought
The Indian women's cricket team is yet to secure a T20 World Cup title. They closed in on one in 2020, having finished as the runners-up Down Under. Hosts Australia beat them in the final at the MCG. Kaur acknowledged this history and emphasized the squad's ongoing efforts toward improvement. She stated, "The team is working really hard and our attempt will be to give our country and fans another opportunity to celebrate this year."

As per the ICC, India have been placed in Group A alongside Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Pakistan. Dubai will host India's first three games before they travel to Sharjah to face Australia.
