Hardik Pandya to attend camp in Bangalore: Details here
Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is set to attend a camp scheduled to take place in Bengaluru from March 5. The camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) has been organized keeping in mind the ICC T20 World Cup this year. It is understood that Hardik has sought time to join the camp. His brother Krunal Pandya hasn't received a call for the same.

Once a mainstay all-rounder for India, Hardik has been troubled by back injuries in the last three years. He made his international debut in January 2016. Hardik has operated as a specialist batter after recovering from his lower-back injury. The Indian all-rounder hasn't been bowling due to his back issues. He also missed the WI and SL white-ball series at home.
Hardik still in scheme of things
Hardik has been out of action across formats of late due to fitness issues. However, the latest development indicates that he is still in the scheme of things. "Although the WC is more than six months away, planning can start. The coaches and selectors want to assess the fitness of players and take stock of things for the big event," said a BCCI source.
Hardik demoted to Grade C in BCCI Central Contracts
Hardik was recently demoted to Grade C (Rs. 1 crore) in the BCCI Central Contracts. The list was finalized by the BCCI Apex Council through a virtual meeting on Wednesday. Hardik's compatriot Shikhar Dhawan was also downgraded to Grade C.
Hardik last played for India in November
Hardik has operated as a specialist batter after recovering from his lower-back injury. He racked up just 281 (2020) and 127 runs (2021) in the last two IPL seasons. The Indian all-rounder hasn't been bowling due to his back issues. He last played for India at the 2021 T20 WC. Although Hardik bowled a few overs, he missed his usual efficacy.
Hardik will lead Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022
Hardik will lead the newly-introduced Gujarat Titans in the 2022 IPL season. Hardik, who was a part of the Mumbai Indians setup for several seasons, was not retained by the five-time champions. Hardik made his IPL debut in 2015. Representing MI for seven seasons, he aggregated 1,476 runs from 92 matches at 27.33. He also owns 42 wickets (best match haul of 3/20).
