Winner of all ICC Trophies
As a captain, MS Dhoni led India to victories in three ICC Championships between 2007 to 2013. He led the team successfully to the World T20 (2007), the Champions Trophy (2013) and the World Cup (2011) titles. He is the only captain to achieve this feat. Under his captaincy, India also became the number one ranked Test Team for the first time in 2009.
Only second cricketer to receive honorary rank
In November 2011, MS Dhoni received the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel from the Indian Territorial Army, to become the second Indian cricketer after Kapil Dev to receive the honour.
