A little about the game
Just Survive is the original version of the H1Z1 game. Players were dropped on a map and had to fight for survival. The open world map saw them battling each other and the zombies, while collecting resources. When the game was released it had two modes, which were soon split up into 2 different games- H1Z1: Just Survive and H1Z1: King of the Kill.
The boss developer's artistic work
The Battle Royale mode in H1Z1 was developed by Brendan 'PlayerUnknown' Greene. He is famous for developing the fan favorite PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, more commonly known as PUBG.
A change is going to come
Just Survive broke with the H1Z1 canon, while King of the Kill was renamed to H1Z1: Battle Royale. With the Battle Royale format drawing interest, it fared much better than the Just Survive mode. The former raked in 3,300 people over the past month, while the latter had an average of 1,000 participants. The developers had no choice but to shut down Just Survive.
