Griezmann: Mbappe reminds me of Ronaldo in his United days
It is common knowledge that Kylian Mbappe is one of the rising stars, who is set to rule the world of football in the coming years. He has already impressed one and all with his performances with France and PSG. Now his compatriot, Antoine Griezmann has yet another compliment for him. According to Griezmann, Mbappe reminds him of Cristiano Ronaldo in his United days.
Griezmann's reasons behind the comparison
Griezmann has also provided his reasons for the comparison he has drawn. He said that Ronaldo used to play out wide at Manchester United, "doing a lot of dribbling and occasionally scoring. He was not looking for goals, though." Mbappe, in a similar fashion, plays as a winger for PSG and mainly provides assists, apart from scoring exceptional goals from time to time.

Mbappe recently netted in 4 goals in the match against Lyon.

Messi and Ronaldo managed scoring so many goals because though they started out wide, they cut into the middle and went for goal. Messi did it by solo dribbles and connecting with Iniesta or Jordi Alba, while Ronaldo perfected this art by connecting with Rooney and Park. If Mbappe, gifted with both footwork and speed, manages to follow this model, he can become unstoppable.
