Telangana CM rewards Under-19 cricketer Gongadi Trisha with ₹1 crore

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced a cash reward of ₹1 crore for rising Indian cricket star, Gongadi Trisha.
The announcement came during Trisha's visit to the CM's residence in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
The monetary award is in recognition of her outstanding performance in India's 2025 Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup win in Malaysia.
She was adjudged the Player of the Tournament.

During the meeting, CM Reddy praised Trisha's achievements and wished her the best for her future career.
"Recently, she performed brilliantly in the Under-19 World Cup and has emerged on the world cricket stage," he said.
The Telangana government also acknowledged other key contributors from the state who played a crucial role in India's victorious campaign.

Other contributors from Telangana also rewarded
Dhrithi Kesari, another member of the victorious squad from Telangana, was given ₹10 lakh despite not getting a chance to play in the tournament.
Team India's head coach Nooshin Al Khadeer, also a former Indian player, as well as trainer Shalini were also rewarded with ₹10 lakh each.
These recognitions underline the state government's commitment to acknowledge and reward sporting talent.

Stellar performance in U19 Women's T20 World Cup
Trisha was instrumental in India's title defense, ending as the tournament's leading run-scorer with 309 runs. She averaged 77.25 and and had a strike-rate of 147.14.
She also become the first batter to score a century in this competition, doing so against Scotland.
Trisha further took seven wickets with the ball at an economy of 3.75, showcasing her all-round prowess on the cricket field.

In the summit clash against South Africa, Trisha's three-wicket haul was instrumental in keeping the opposition to a reasonable total.
She also scored an unbeaten 44(33), helping India chase down 83.
After winning the final, she dedicated her player-of-the-tournament award to her father.
This isn't Gongadi Trisha's only achievement. She was also part of the winning squad when India won the inaugural Women's T20 World Cup in 2023.
