
Shubman Gill matches Babar Azam's world record with ICC award

Indian cricketer Shubman Gill was awarded the ICC Player of the Month for February 2025.
This is the third time he has received this honor in his over six-year-long international career, equaling former Pakistan captain Babar Azam's world record.

In February 2025, Gill played five matches for India and scored a total of 406 runs with two centuries and two fifties.
He remained unbeaten on 101 runs in India's first match of the Champions Trophy against Bangladesh on February 20, and then scored an impressive 46 runs against Pakistan in the second Group A match in Dubai.
