What's the story
Germany's Mario Gotze, who scored the winning goal of 2014 World Cup for the reigning champions, has been left out of the squad for the upcoming tournament in Russia.
The Borussia Dortmund forward scored the goal against Argentina in extra time to hand Germany their fourth World Cup.
The 25-year-old has had a poor season with Dortmund this year.

Manuel Neuer makes into squad despite being injured
Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who has been on the sidelines since September due to a foot injury, has been named in the squad. The squad also includes the likes of City's Leroy Sane and Ilkay Gundogan, Chelsea's Antonio Rudiger and Arsenal's Mesut Ozil.

Arsenal defender Mustafi, who was a key member of the 2014 World Cup winning squad, has been ignored.

Joachim Low commits to Germany till 2022
Germany manager Joachim Low's future has been sorted as the World Cup-winning coach has extended his contract with the reigning champions until 2022.
Low's deal was till 2020 but the Germans are keen to tie him down till the 2022 World Cup as he has been in charge for 12 years.
