Welshman Gareth Bale to consider options next summer
Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale is considering to move away from the club in the upcoming summer. Reports claim that the player's first preference is still to stay at the Bernabeu, but he could make a switch in case Manchester United are keen to have him. Bale scored twice in Saturday's victory over Las Palmas and played the entire 90 minutes in La Liga.
The issues Bale is facing at Real
Although he has appeared in 30 games for the European champions this season, Gareth Bale has not been Zinedine Zidane's first priority in the big games. He was overlooked in Real's round of 16 matches against Paris Saint-Germain and there are doubts over his selection in the tie against Juventus this week. With Isco and Marco Asensio in good form, another snub is likely.
Premier League and Manchester link?
Reports state that Bale could make a return to the Premier League. He had left Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 and it seems that a switch to Old Trafford could gain momentum. Jose Mourinho was vocal in his admiration for Bale last summer and wanted the player but Real didn't agree. Rumours state that Jose would seize the opportunity this time around.
Forward options aplenty at United
Bale's United move has a difficult road ahead despite rumours. Jose got in Alexis Sanchez in January and had stated that he isn't looking to add any attacker in the summer. United have a plethora of forwards and where will Bale fit is the question.
The Zidane factor at Real
Zidane is favouring a 4-4-2 formation and he does not trust Bale's defensive play in big games. Bale hasn't quite won the favour of Zidane, despite playing well. He needs to keep performing to his abilities and hope he assures Zidane of a regular place.
