#GamingBytes: Giving 'Endgame' spoilers could get you banned from games
One of the worst things you can do today is spoiling the suspense of a cultural phenomenon. It enrages people to such an extent that they can even get violent! The recently released Avengers: Endgame is a culmination of 22 films, and its story has been largely kept under wraps. One gamer chose to spoil it for others, and was promptly banned. Here's more.
The 'League of Legends' player gave spoilers while streaming online
The player, who goes by the Reddit username Laptop-Guy, was streaming League of Legends, when he gave some crucial spoilers for Avengers: Endgame. As a result, he was promptly given a ban of 3 days in the game. The news was confirmed by the gamer, when he revealed the email trail with Riot Games support, where they have mentioned the reason for his ban.
He accepts the ban, says he 'completely deserved this'
Other players confirmed that Laptop-Guy was indeed banned for giving away movie spoilers. There is, however, no such policy that specifies an event like this, so we can consider it to be an anomaly. It is also likely that someone complained against him. The gamer accepted the ban and said that he was "kinda mad... but [he] completely deserved this."
Here are some of the best comments his post received
"A 3-day ban is a manual review, so its likely someone bitched about it in a support ticket. The automated system isn't going to punish you for it." -IZCH12 "Lol, an intern probably got spoiled by reading the submission so he insta-banned the dude"- TheOneArmedWolf "The Summoner's Code can very easily be applied to spoilers: ENJOY YOURSELF, BUT NOT AT ANYONE ELSE'S EXPENSE"- deyvtown
