French Open 2024: Daniil Medvedev receives walkover, reaches third round
Russian ace Daniil Medvedev reached the 2024 French Open third round after receiving a walkover from Miomir Kecmanovic. Medvedev was leading 6-1, 5-0 before Kecmanovic was forced to retire. Medvedev goes beyond second round
As mentioned, Medvedev has gone beyond the second round for the third time at Roland Garros. He played the quarter-final in 2021 before having a fourth-round finish the next year. Medvedev, who struggles on the clay court, was knocked out in the first round for four successive years between 2017 and 2020. He had a similar result at Roland Garros last year.
