Four instances of Ashwin recording century, fifer in a Test
Ravichandran Ashwin starred in India's 280-run win against Bangladesh in the 1st Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. He scored a rescuing first-innings ton before taking a match-winning five-wicket haul in the second. Ashwin has become the oldest player to achieve this double in a men's Test match. Overall, this was the fourth instance of Ashwin attaining this feat.

The last such instance of Ashwin recording a ton and five-wicket haul in a Test was also at Chepauk. He took 5/43 in the first innings and followed it up with a pivotal second-innings century. As a result, India won the match by 317 runs. Notably, Ashwin is now the only player with a hundred and fifer in a Test at one venue twice.
India vs West Indies, North Sound, 2016
Ashwin has also attained the double of a century and fifer in a Test away from home. This happened during the 1st Test against the West Indies in North Sound (2016). Ashwin slammed a crucial ton as India declared for 566/8, batting first. The Windies were later bowled out for 243 and 231 after they received a follow-on.

Ashwin straightaway made a mark in his debut Test series in 2011, against the West Indies. In the final Test held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Ashwin took a fifer in the first innings (5/156), where the visitors scored 590. India were down to 331/6 in the second innings before Ashwin scored a rescuing century (103). He took a four-fer later too.
