Fortnite is one of the most exciting games in the Battle Royale genre due to new content that Epic keeps adding. The mystery surrounding Kevin, the Purple Cube, appears to be ending as cracks have appeared. Apart from content, the studio keeps adding new items and cosmetics in-game and its most recent announcement informs Fortnite gamers that balloons are coming. Read about it.
Where was the announcement made?
The in-game message of the day, in Battle Royal of Fortnite, informed gamers that balloons are going to come soon. The message is accompanied by the instructions that say inflated balloons will help players defy gravity and help them increase altitude.
We all float down there
The balloons that will be added in Battle Royale will allow gamers to float in the air to destinations of their choice. Since the balloons can defy gravity and players can use them to rise to higher altitudes, it logically means that multiple balloons will allow players to potentially rise faster and higher. Notably, the balloons are expected to be added by Halloween.
All the right moves in all the right places
The ability of players to vertically traverse the map using balloons is an interesting addition to the Battle Royale, as it would make movement more dynamic. Currently, the Grapple Gun allows faster propelling and apart from that the re-deployable gliders make movement much easier. For ground movement, the All Terrain Kart and the recently added Quadcrasher are excellent choices to get around the map.
How will the balloons affect gameplay?
The balloons might change gameplay as players can float to have a better sighting advantage. It remains to be seen if players can use their weapons while floating, which will make killing from above so much more fun. However, players floating can also be easily spotted by enemies and shot down. We will know more once details are revealed, but we are definitely excited!
