Epic's Fortnite is keeping fans on their toes with constant updates. The latest is a mysterious new event that will be available from next week. The event is called 'High Stakes' and the announcement was made via Twitter. Further, fans can see the 'High Stakes' gameplay over the weekend on Twitch, during PAX stream, by Fortnite, from 6 PM PT.
Will the stakes be higher than ever on Fortnite?
Fortnite asked players to 'suit up' for the new 'High Stakes' event next week. It also announced the arrival of a limited time mode called the 'Getaway Mode', new challenges for the 'High Stakes' event and a slick new suit called the Wild Card outfit. The event may have a gambling or casino theme as the post ended with icons of playing cards' suits.

It reminded fans of another special event in July, the 'Birthday'. However, most people agree that this time it will be more goal-oriented. What would be the goal? Some popular theories put forth are the 'Purple Cube' link, a casino heist situation, or a capture-the-flag format of gameplay. Nonetheless, everyone is excited to see what happens next on Fortnite!
