#GamingBytes: All about the new update of Fortnite
Fortnite rolled out its new update on August 23, 2018. The two most striking changes are the game map, and a new feature called Rift-To-Go. Notably, the new limited time mode changes the entire Fortnite playing style. Instead of the last man standing format, players have to earn most points, in order to win 'Score Royale'. Find what these changes mean for you.
A completely new fighting technique
Rifts were the biggest addition to Season 5. However, Rift-To-Go makes fights much more versatile and less confrontational. It allows players to escape from battle and run from storms via teleporting. Players can make their own rifts by throwing a grenade-like item. This opens a rift for 10 seconds. The Rift-To-Go item will be available in chests, loot llamas, supply drops, and vending machines.
Old places give way to a new adventure
Old timers might remember Tomato Town, on the Fortnite map. The old town has been replaced with Tomato Temple. It is a huge structure dedicated to some 'Tomato-headed God'. The new addition might be a blow to nostalgia, but it adds an exciting place to explore. If players are lucky, Epic might also bring a themed outfit soon.
Keep scoring, keep winning
The new limited time mode or LTM brings a new objective. It is called Score Royale. This radically changes the motive of the gameplay. Earlier, it was about survival and being the last man standing. However, players now have to worry about their scores, since victory is not judged by survival. It is judged by points accumulated. One with the highest point wins!
Score breakdown for Score Royale

Let them know if you are a speedster
Fortnite season 5 had added ATK vehicles and players could participate in road trip challenges. The last of the challenges will be over today. Once that is done, players, who finished all seven, will have access to a new skin. They will possess all the requirements for a legendary skin. Exciting times lie ahead for those who took the challenges seriously.
Pump them full of lead
Fortnite players have been complaining about the pump action shotgun being constantly downgraded. Its damage was reduced, the spread was changed and players could only have one in their inventory at a time. However the downgrade, which hurt the most, was the pullout speed time. Epic has addressed that and the shotgun is a little better than before. Good luck with the new update!
