#GamingBytes: Fortnite servers to go offline for new update
Fortnite by Epic Games maintains the immense popularity in the Battle Royale genre by regularly releasing updates that streamline and improve the gameplay experience. Its recent update 6.21 had been delayed due to technical issues but is now coming out today. To that extent, Fortnite servers will be down for a few hours for maintenance that precedes the update. Read about it here.
All about the server maintenance
The servers will be offline from 1:30 PM and come back online by 4:30 PM IST. However, players might face disruption, wherein Epic begins to kick out players from live games before server maintenance. This might have started a little after 1 PM, so if you were kicked out of the game don't panic. Notably, post-maintenance, the update will be available across all platforms.
We all float down there
Among the notable changes coming with the new update is the addition of balloons to the gameplay. We reported that the balloons, coupled with the gliders which could be redeployed would have a major effect on movement and combat in the Battle Royale.
A possible rumor might come true with this update
The new update might also bring the Gifting System, which has been teased for a long time. According to data-miners, they have uncovered evidence which suggests players can wrap the gifts in colored wrappings. A Gift Wrap tab has also been discovered as part of the system's user interface which will let players choose between yellow, red, blue and purple gift wraps.
