#GamingBytes: All about Fortnite Season 6 Battle Pass
Fortnite, by Epic, starts its newest Season 6 today. As with every new season, players get a new Battle Pass with the cosmetic perks. Though the new pass comes with its own Halloween horror theme which differentiates it from Season 5's historical or Season 4's superhero theme, it looks similar to previous seasons. Here's all about it.
What does the Battle Pass offer?
Season 6's Battle Pass will bring 100 unlockable tiers to the players and offer over 100 unlockable items. Players can access these unlocks through battle stars which can be earned either through the Battle Royale match experiences or by completing the challenges available. Notably, the Battle Pass can be purchased from the in-game store of Fortnite and will last for the entire season.
What you get with money and what you get free
The Battle Pass costs 950 V-Bucks which equals to $9.50. The 11-week-long season also offers a free pass. Notably, Fortnite offers different rewards in the free version so players who don't pay still manage to earn something. However, players who want to upgrade can do so anytime during the season, and their rewards from the free pass are transferred to the paid pass.
The difference in weekly challenges
For those unaware, the free version offers only three weekly challenges, while the paid pass has seven weekly challenges. Thus the latter option allows players to earn more battle stars which will, of course, unlock more items on their pass.
Other changes coming to the new Battle Pass
Developers Epic will allow gamers to unlock each tier by spending 150 V-Bucks. For the impatient players, they can spend 2,800 V-Bucks which will unlock up to tier 25 of the Battle Pass. The pass is also going to offer players unlockable pieces, which are especially made for skins and can be accessed after reaching a certain level in the game.
